Welcome to Cow Juice! We were founded by Phil Knight when he got frustrated with not being able to get a cup of tea on the industrial estate where he was working. So rather than just getting a kettle he decided to open a café!
But when he went on his first shopping trip to get food for his venture, what he found woke him up to a problem… Massive corporations and tons of waste!
Plastic milk bottles pilling high, selling milk for next to nothing, eggs being sold from caged birds and many people telling him that if he wanted to make a profit that is what he had to use. But he is a determined little so and so who realised that if he could invent his own products for the café using local farmers produce then he would be able to cut waste and get farmers a much better deal.
If it could work in Cow Juice then maybe it could work anywhere?
Cow Juice now focusses on making our milkshakes with independent farmers who love their cattle, and selling eggs that come from happy roaming chickens!
If we don’t change our way of thinking as a race and start really getting behind small independent farmers who love their animals then we are just going to be living in a world of corporations and caged animals… No Thanks!

We started out as a café and have evolved in to a simple mission to answer one question… How do we stop plastic waste? To answer that question rather than just starting campaigns and lecturing companies we thought we would make our own plastic bottles, full of milkshake or smoothie and see if we couldn’t help others figure out a better way of doing business.
Plastic should never enter our oceans ever again!
